Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman talks about Palestinian bid, peace process
by Sima Kadmon
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is sharp and decisive when he analyzes the implications of a Palestinian statehood declaration and Israel’s response. While he is unwilling to detail Israel’s plan, he speaks of a “toolbox” and a “large basket of things” that Israel may consider. It appears that the proposal voiced by his deputy, Danny Ayalon, to annex land in Judea and Samaria is just one possible move, and not the toughest one.

The implications of a Palestinian move would be harsh and grave, says Lieberman, adding that there is no need to go into detail or issue threats. We shall not move on as usual should the Palestinians pass a unilateral decision, he says. We already prepared a document with a long list of moves that Israel could undertake in response.
